INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND CO-OPERATION

Lithuanian Standards Board represents Lithuania within the following international and European standartization organizations:

The membership gives the right to receive all newly published standards and other normative documents of the above mentioned organizations, from which the basis of international and European standards, essential for adoption of international and European standards as Lithuanian standards and harmonization of Lithuanian standards and European standards, is created.

Since 1999 the national standartization institutions of Estonija, Latvia and Lithuania are the participants of Baltic Standartization Forum. At the meetings of the above institutions held twice a year the results of standartization activity also sharing experience within the field are among the main issues on agenda. At the meetings the resolutions are made on further mutual cooperation of the Baltic countries, also the issues are discussed related to possible cooperation with the national standartization institutions of other countries as well as participation of the representatives of the Baltic countries in various events held by international and European standartization organizations, etc.
